There are 6 designated sites located in the Beaverhead Deerlodge National Forest at 5,500ft elevation. Each site has a table and fire ring. Vaulted toilets and water available. Pack in pack out. Propper food storage should be practiced since this is bear country. Close to fishing and hiking. No fee for sites. Maximum stay is 16 days. Open Memorial Day-Labor Day weekend.
Directions: From Butte, take MT Highway 2 for approximately 15 miles. turn right onto Forest Service Road #668 (Fish Creek Road) and continue for approximately 5 miles. The campground will be on the left. The road is a gravel road suitable for passenger vehicle access; however, trailers are not recommended as the road is narrow and steep with sharp turns.
